need some help cmdr's

decided to unlock the last my engineer and I'm having to mine bromellite.
got a mining lazar installed.
full power to weapons, though not necessary needed.

I am unable to fire mining lazar. I have tried swapping firing trigger. even tried restarting the game. I have this type of bug in the srv, restart usually resolves it.
any idea's?

Sorry. Grasping at straws and you've been around long enough that it probably isn't a "newbie" mistake. Can you post a video or some screenshots?

Is it a Turret Mining Laser? If so, check that Turret Mode is Forward Firing. Otherwise, these things typically don't work at all.

They will get 5% trade dividends when you sell the goods. That could be reasonably profitable with mining. Technically it's not sharing, since it's not taken away from you, but instead free money on top of it, for your wing/crew.
