Need some help with yellow.

I'm looking to spend some of my hard-earned free Arx on a yellow paintjob for my mining ships.

I'm thinking either Vibrant yellow or Military Earth yellow.

I'm aiming for something that's sort of "Caterpillar yellow", which is a kind of mustard-yellow.

Don't want to waste those free Arx so if anybody's got in-game pic's of ships in Vibrant Yellow or Military Earth yellow, it'd help a lot.

Vibrant Yellow can be quite bright, depending on light.
Vibrant Orange could appear more industrial

I wish I could get a picture up, but I have found the 'Gold Pharoah' worked the best for painting up some heavy machinery. The vibrant colors are just too 'Basic Crayon' to pass, for me.

I have vibrant yellow cargo Clipper!

On this photo light source is orange star, so colour is little darker:

But in the white light coulour is more like lemon or banana maybe

And also I have Gold Pharaoh Krait Mk II

edit Caterpillar has also some black elements, so you right - Pharaoh Gold look like made for machinery equipment

I love vibrant Yellow. It's my "official" colour and I always come back to it.

Different ships in different ligthing conditions.

If what you're after is the shade known in the UK as 'council yellow', vibrant is the one you want. I was going to post a screenie of my T-9 in said paint but schlowi123 has saved me the trouble.

Pharaoh Gold AspX. My core miner - close to Cat as possible.

EDIT: the vibrant yellow is too bright IMO

“Arissa’s Mistake” The iClipper I got without ANY empire rank.

“Yellow PunchBuggy III” I lost the first two in budgeting accidents.

The “Suzy Thunda” - She wears military sand and usually with more paint degradation, seen here shortly after purchase.

This is the “Marie Celeste” the Turbulence paint pack for the T-6 is a good enough reason to own a T-6, and it comes in a brown yellow from memory. Very Chris Foss inspired design. Wish there were more of these for Lakon ships.

Turbulence Yellow & Black (the scheme on the T6 above is Red & Black from the same family, may be what you are looking for

Makes my T6 look a bit 'Wasp-like' but is very nice.

I also advocate Pharaoh Gold. We use it for Spinward Marches Aliance Concern ships.

However it does differ quite a bit depending on lighting conditions. Sometimes it looks yellow, others orange.

I had a yellow Clipper that hit a cloud of bugs ..............

It was, literally, a bugged paint job that was fixed a long while ago.

I have equipped my dbX Taxi with yellow paint, but it looked less convincing than the orange paint job ..... substituting for yellow ....

Therefore, you may find orange more closely matches a Caterpiller-tractor look than yellow.

Having seen so many people post up pic's of ships in Vibrant yellow, I ended-up going for Mil-Earth Yellow just to be contrary.

FWIW, I have been using the Gold Pharoah paintjob on my mining AspX's.
Trouble is, it's not available for the T10 whereas the basic Vibrant/Military yellow is available for the T10, Python and Aspx.

FWIW, seeing that pic' of a yellow Annie reminded me that my exploration Annie is painted with the "traffic cone" community paintjob.
I like that so, in the absence of a "traffic cone" paintjob for other ships, I might reserve Vibrant yellow for my exploration ships.

That is orange, not yellow.
