Need to default the engine speed to 0 when arriving at stations...

I went to help my wife for a sec, just as I warped into a station...and I crashed into it and blew up! I lost my new Cobra full of gold. :( I forgot to turn off my engine...and they should default it at 0 when arriving. I always boost to the station, and use thrusters anyway, and have had several close calls. I talked the salesman into giving back my Adder, since I had no more money for cargo.

Hit ESC, save to menu. When you return, load the game and you'll be roughly where you were. Why people leave the game running I have no idea.

Omg, when was the last time you wanted something from your wife and it actually took her attention from something? I will tell you when: NEVER! Why? Because we are smart. "Honey, come over here, i need you to hold that nail for me!". Answer: "are you MAD?!?! im polishing my nails!!!", or "are you joking!?!? im reading the sun!!!", or "the Eastenders are on, you moron!". No man is stupid enough to wake the inner monster of our beloved ones. You all know what im talking about.

On the other hand, they simply wait for us to do something we enjoy (like computer games) and THEN they want us for milions of small things that REALLY dont have to be done right now!

Dont kid yourselves, gentleman, its a fight for power. A fight most of us have already lost...

You should have seen my wifes face when I read her this! HA

In EVE, we call this 'wife aggro'. Wife aggro does not, and never will, justify sweeping changes to game mechanics.

Hypercruise/fsd dropping doesn't take more than 5-6 seconds or so, you really couldn't wait the extra seconds to ensure you didn't crash into a station you had literally just triggered a drop-in sequence to? If you had been jumping to a system instead of a station, would this post be about auto-throttling so you don't hit stars?

I understand the frustration of needless death, but cmon now. Have some responsibility!

I was at the station already...but yes I learned my lesson. Talking about it was therapeutic though. I try to talk to my wife about things on this game...and she tries to seem interested...but there's nothing like fellow commanders to share with. :)

I normally give the standard "In a minute" response and then go through half an hour later expecting a storm... After all if you try and call the other half through when they are watching the idiot lantern what happens?
