All they needed was to add a Priority setting for Discovery Scanners and then this is solved to only power it in SC.
Granted, being able to prio the ADS would help me personally, because I have not a single non-trading ship that does NOT need to shutdown atleast the fuelscoop when it goes combat ready : /
I'd prefer a more universal approach, like turning the damn things off in normal flight because who with a sane mind would drop from SC just to honk space for discovery?...
And all other scanners should simply work like the basic scan, fire automatically as soon as in range and sight, and for all I care can they still decay instead of just pause like the basic scan when out of range / sight.
As for the new buttons being added, yay... even more things I need to fit on my gamepad which already uses 4 modifier buttons...
The new camera mode already gives me a headache, but I'll take it because it finally gets rid of the idiotic short range limit for "zooming" out, aside of allowing actual zooming too.
Maybe I should by a second controller for that lol
