Needing Chemical Processors -- suck at fighting. Is there a way?

I really need to try this Dav's hope thing. Other non-fighting acquisition methods are Combat Aftermath signal sources in trading lanes. But they are somewhat rare and then you can ravel in your kitten murder phantasies when the signal source finally spawns and a bloody pirate in his Eagle interdicts you

... so maybe you should shoot up some Type-9 in an Anarchy system or a convoy collecting medicine or food for the suffering population. Apologize after your kill, explain that you really need the meat ... I mean hardware and maybe his or her soul will find some peace and forgive you.

If you are doing the CG at Khun then Dav's hope is a hop skip and a jump away.

Strangely the sign above the settlement says 'Hobbes Hope'

I know it's not what you want to hear... But honestly I'd just kill the haulage ships. Heck, pick a faction you don't like and target them specifically!

I'm sure that navigational information is really useful to someone who knows how to read it. If I put my mind to it will I be able to find that place with information clearly visible on my screen at the time? :p

Sorry for that :p IndigoWyrd sorted it all out in a very good and comprehensive way. Well, at least that's what I feel :)

For surface navigation, the top of your hud will show your compass heading.
Your lat/lon position is on the lower right.
It will show up as soon as you are close enough to the planet, even before you hit orbital flight.
Use only the prime directions 90/270(E/W) and 0/180(N/S) to hone in your position from a high orbit.
Once you're accustomed to that you can split angles and so on, to expedite your approach.
