Hey everyone, so I have this mission to kill about 6 skimmers on a prison colony but I'm really struggling with it. No doubt it's due to a poor ship and even poorer slection of hardpoints but I'm just trying to figure out at this stage if I am doing something wrong tactically.
Ok so it's 6 skimmers on a prison colony. The colony itself has anti missile defenses but the major problem I am having is with the Anaconda that guards the area plus the small cobra that buddies up with him. Before I can even get to my attack on the base I am stuck with these guys who chew threw all my shields like butter, any attempt to attack base itself triggers the alarm and naturally you end up with the two ships plus the base attacking you. My attempts to single these guys out hasn't helped the situation as an Anaconda vs my Eagle...not happening.
Ok ok I know I'm using an Eagle but cash is tight, which is why I'm doing these missions in the first place (plus the passenger missions got a touch boring for me personally). I use the eagle because it's cheap to replace and nimble, it also lets me keep my Diamond Back Explorer in storage.
My question is, is there something I am not doing correctly for this or is there an easier way? Should I be using my SRV? I don't mind if it's just down to having a bit of a poor ship but I have a feeling I'm not approaching this mission correctly. Any advice is welcome
