General / Off-Topic Netfilx - Bandersnatch

Evening CMDRs,

I'm really surprised nobody in here has been talking about the above title...?

It is set in the 80's. It is about computers, game design and mental health issues.

It is recursive and really clever....

I watched it. Played through different iterations. It's annoying. 4th wall breaks were meh. I prefer the other Black mirror episodes. I suppose it will be recognized as a ground breaking first effort for people's choice entertainment. In 1985 the movie Clue did a much more scaled back version of this sort of thing. Mass effect Paragon Renegade, and Witcher really modeled how to do this sort of thing with much more compelling stories.

Yeah, it's not an entirely new concept. It reminded me of the X-Files game (I think in the late 90's) but I really enjoyed it. What I really liked about it was that it was self referencing, was set in the 80's, had some good music. It also kept me occupied for around 3 hours (total). I've never watched a film and then started it again right away until Bandersnatch :D
