General / Off-Topic Netflix "Extinction"

Got an eye roll when I saw description and beginning of trailer.

Just curiously started to watch it. It was aright for expensive TV movie, story was a bit paper thin, but a bit more atmosphere help to keep interest.

And then in quite sudden turn of events movie took left turn. For me surprise worked. It made complete sense. Overall good selection for Netflix movie collection. Felt a bit minimalistic in places, but maybe that's for best.

Trailer for that popped up yesterday when I logged in, and went on for longer than the whole The Expanse episode I was going to watch :D, if you're telling that that didn't give away 90 % of the plot as it seemed to do, it could well be worth a watch. Sometimes underdogs can be gems in disguise (looking at you, Equilibrium).

I got told by numerous people its a bad movie which has been putting me off watching it....however if you guys say its okay i may have to give it a go now, thanks! :)

Watched this last night. I'd describe it as "okay" at best.

It's certainly watchable, but also fairly forgettable with the exception of the twist that others have mentioned.

The wife and I just watched it and thought it was pretty okay. But as soon as it was over I turned to her and said I think that would have worked better as a show. Kinda like the show Falling Skies. Problem is we got bored with it and stopped watching.

spoilers, spoilers and more spoilers.

Actually for me it didn't make any sense. Supposedly these androids already killed most of the humans so why leave them on mars to come back? Hardly made any attempts to build defences against them returning?.

Why do they live vertically identical city, seemingly living the same life over and over again for the last 50 years or longer. I know memory wipes explain some of that but come on.

It a alright movie, the cgi is clearly incomplete probably because it went from a cinema to a straight to netflix release, the story is equally incomplete and with gigantic holes in it.

Falling skies was great at the beginning, however the constant change of directors and stupid plots, made the show toe cringing.
I managed to watch it do the end, and it was not that good.
