Network error OculusRift (was working yesterday)

I have tried all the runarounds. C++, .Net, Firewall, Drivers, HardDrive, everything.

I was literally just using this last night. I uninstalled this morning because SteamVR wasnt recognizing the headset so i thought maybe the Rift didnt install correctly. When i reinstalled i was greeted with "cannot connect to oculus server" I also ran the Compatibility tool, everything checked fine but i also get a network error there. Im connected through a cable (not WiFi), and have tried disabling firewall. Would rather not have to disable norton alltogether.

Any Ideas?

I got a message on screen saying they are having a network issue and working on it. I can play everything except Google Earth (would make sense since their network is pooched) but the flashing "F" is killing the immersion.

Yeah my first post was mostly glib.
I suspect they are having problems somewhere.
I saw a post earlier today I believe on the mobius forums saying he couldn't login to ED either.
I haven't tried ed today but I have been fine otherwise.

I can run ED (Frontier launcher) but again -flashing "F" I can't install from Home, of course, anything I currently have in-installed.

I bought virtual desktop.

On occasion when occulus won't let me connect and play, I can load games direct in VD.
