Why is this a thing again and has anyone experienced this too? In Open that is.
Anyone has yet again found a fix to this weird post-update behavior?
Had this yesterday, could not hit a squadron-mate with my efficient PAs on the vulture, just kept jumping around and rubber banding, but more important than that, was the frame drops you describe, which caused the aiming reticle to teleport around, instead of transitioning smoothly. Eventually we went to PG and it was better. We both have 50Mb+ internet.
The trouble with open is that you don't really know whose instance you're in. You might be there with your buddy, but somewhere in the instance out of range might be some dude in the australian outback with a potato router and internet and it's his instance, that's why the performance is rubbish. Oh the joys of P2P. It does seem to be worse recently, though, but that's hardly surprising given that I'm still getting multiple disconnects and freezes per day.
