Newcomer / Intro Neutral, dock, now hostile

I've docked at Haxel Port station in LTT 15574, where they were neutral, to refuel and stock up on ammunition again. When I returned my ship to the surface (not launch yet, just return), the station had gone red and now federal cruisers are all red to me in every system.

So I'm just curious what's up with that?

But I'm friendly with the Democrats of LTT 15574? Which runs Haxel Port.

And friendly with the Federation, too.

So what gives, and how can I fix this for myself? I've gone a rather far distance out to find a new spot, but federal ships everywhere seem to be hostile to me now. I've been extremely careful NOT to attack federal cruisers; only wanted pirate factions really.

Haven't run into that myself.

Is there any chance you recolored your HUD while docked and they aren't *actually* red?

show us the rest of the factions and your status/rep with them as well.... half the factions are missing in your screenshots

Your colour scheme shows blue as yellow and orange as blue. Why do you think the red would have remained red. In fact I'd bet your "red" is actually green.

If you want to know what YOUR hostile colour looks like, observe some warnings, that are usually shown in red (proximity, impact, landing gear, etc...)

Thanks guys. It was the HUD color; I've just sort of grown use to it now, so when the faction changed color, I guess I just sort of was like ', mate?' Sort of wish I could make those be their more natural colors instead of inverted. But I like the cool blue. So I'll just have to get used to it.

It can be done. It just needs, sometimes hours of trying. Don't be afraid to go into negative values. ;)
You should be able to make a HUD colour that keeps all colours other than red (can't be avoided, as it is too close to orange) untouched.
