Neutron Star Fields

I'm presently at 1210, 1171, 14140 and haven't yet seen a Neutron star. Am I in the right place? is there any way to identify them on the galaxy map, or do you only find out when you arrive at the star?

Could you explain how, please. I can't find any filter on my Galaxy map?

Star type is an option on the non-realistic map. Make sure you've switched to that display tab. Then enter 'non sequence stars' - that's the black holes and neutron stars.

You'll know you're at the neutron star fields when you see a couple of them on your screen at once. It's not like they're all packed next to eachother - but you ought to be able to jump from one to the next. Don't forget to fuel scoop!

Go to "show by colour"
There's a drop-down selection menu below that (showing "Allegiance" in your screen shot). Select "star class" (or something like that, don't have ED up right now).
Now you can select which star types you want to see or not. Just switch off everything that doesn't interest you.

Ok. I found it. Many thanks for your help.

And make sure that you have the population tab set to 'none' ... Took me months to work that one out!

But then you're gonna miss all the aliens!

Here's a section of some of the star fields. They're not super dense. I'm dialled way back. And if I had all the other stars turned on it'd look pretty crowded.
