neutron star rendering as giant white blobs in Odyssey

Somehow the hideous neutron star rendering issue in Odyssey that turns it into a giant white blob is still listed as "confirming" on the Issue Tracker, so please go here and add your comments/screenshots etc so it gets confirmed and they know they need to fix this:

E-e-e-er, sorry, but I just cant' help asking: don't you happen to have some more graphical issues, not just the way neutron stars render? Because your screenshot just cries out that you do. So, may be, the problem is not just with neutrons, but more like described here:

(a) that's not my report (or screenshot) for the neutron star issue, I'm just trying to get more people to confirm it there so FDev know that they need to fix it. (I don't even have Odyssey, and I'm certainly not going to get it until or unless this and a lot of other issues are fixed)
(b) lots of other people who have Odyssey have reported the same 'neutron star blob' issue so it's not just one user's graphics settings.
(c) I dunno, but that other texture stuff looks like some other issue to me.

The lighting and graphic engine seems so inconsistent and poor to me. It swings between much of the UI and others area being far too dim and then bright blown out parts such as this.
It's like the HDR has been ramped up too much.
Thank God for Reshade.

It's the same for me. And as Hedy says, there's a lot to lighting. I've seen things that should be dark that are bright (like some nightside planets) and thins that should be light sources completely dark or matte. At the begining I thought it was just me because there were too many weird things, but sadly I think all that may be by design.

As others have stated, it's part of the general "Odyssey lighting problem", also seen in the oversaturation of any planet that's reasonably close to its star.

Basically, it's the "glowing white giant" problem all over again, except it's affecting every planet in the galaxy, not just Class V giants over 9000 K.

I really don't understand how they could have released it in such a state where so it's blindingly obvious that it's broken. Did they not even look at Odyssey before they released it? Or did they just shrug their shoulders and decide to fix it all eventually (and everyone off) when there wasn't a hard deadline on them? Lighting and rendering issues aren't subtle things that nobody's going to notice!

Seems to be something of a ongoing malaise within the game industry at the moment, shipping unfinished and unrefined products and hoping to fix them at a later date. I have seen this so much in modern game release schedules over the last decade and don't expect it to change.
I suppose satisfying their interesting set of investors is more important to many companies, though Fdev are not unique in this regard.
If I had sent my own work off on this wonky state It would come back rather sharply edited.

Well, I think we must consider we are playing the Beta. After all, nothing passes directly from Alpha state to Release state, as it happened here. I think the months ahead until PC and console merges could be considered a Beta and we PC players are the testers. Just it would have been more honest if they had announced it as "early access" like many others do these days. An explanation could be what Hedy has just said.

When I look around in the FSS Mode - almost everything often renders as a huge, white blob just as well :p
Many Icy Planets rather look as if I put a White Dwarf into focus without filters...

(apart from Icy Planets being Yellow in the FSS Spectrum now... "Don't eat yellow snow!" reminder? Water Worlds are red ?? (Hot! Hot!) and plenty of other random new colors... its really weird to see)
