Engineers Neutron Star supercharging ate my GalMap Course Ploter.

Ploter Plotter

This game is full of: "Why isn't that working?"

Today I spent some time in an outbreak system flogging around looking for Pharmaceutical Isolators.
Found some, ta.
USS = High Grade Emmissions.

But the system I was in was Wolf 485A which is a Neutron Star.

While hacking around trying to figure out where to point my ship, I got caught up in the Neutron Star's jet.
I heard the FSD overcharge warning and did the thing - wriggle out.
But then spent the next hour looking in USS's for Pharmaceutical Isolators.
I even went in and out of the nearest system.
I walked away from the cockpit for lunch - Always nice to get a bit of wear over a glass of wine with the in-laws.

Anyway by the time I tried to plot a course back out to Maia, I could not understand why I could not plot beyond about 40 LYs.
Had me relogging and power cycling and all sorts trying to get a course to my destination.

Kudos to whoever first noticed this and figured it out.
What a nightmare.

I guess the question is: How does neutron overcharge work?
i would have thought it all just got spent on the first jump.
But it persists somehow.

Also this thing was in system:
