Neutron star with rings

Okay, so I've never seen one, didn't even know you can find one with rings, but for what it is, I think it's my best discovery yet!
Neutron stars are so small though, and I think it's a part of their charm, honestly. Being so small and so dangerous, there's always something alluring about them. You just want to get close but you can't, not without being fried with radiation.

Anyway, if they're changing Neutron stars in 2.2 I'm really excited to see how this will look after an update.

Here it is, seen from afar

Getting closer, those rings are really dark. Neutron star and a black hole are the biggest stellar objects in this system, so there's almost no light.

It's right there, you can see the small light and gravitational lensing! Oh I just wish I could get closer, but I can't [sad]

And when I turn around, I'm greeted with an amazing looking layer of space dust that just touches the ring (also you can see the black hole there as well! What an amazing system this is)

I took a bit more screenshots, here's full imgur album of it in case someone wants to see another ones:

Wow! Fantastic find, Commander! I've seen a lot of Neutron Stars, but never one with rings! I didn't even think that was possible because of the intense gravity and radiation!

In all the hundreds and hundreds of neutron stars I've seen, I've not seen anything like this!
Amazing find, CMDR!!!

Sorry to have to break it to you, but that https://i.imgur.com/ZrbapGy.png is not amazing space dust touching the ring. It is just rest of the galaxy, thousands of LY away, and the ring's reflection thereof.

Well, I didn't mean that it touches it literally, it's just seen from the ring and makes that effect :) There's no physical way rings could do that :D
Also, I don't think it's a reflection, it's just seen between a think layer of rocks.

WOW! You just made the hall of fame. That's definitely a first! Congrats CMDR! Nice find

Ermmm... it is an amazing find indeed. But not the first. I found a couple of these on my way to Jaques. All of them were already tagged by other commanders. Most likely those cmdrs just didnt report their findings on the forum.

I didn't bother mentioning the ringed neutron I took pics of on July 27th because it had already been tagged and I assumed, therefore, it wouldn't be any kind of first. Not to piddle on Heifehen's bonfire but imho some credit should go to CMDR Idle Sniper for his discovery in HD 78344, as well as credit for Heifehen's first discovered.

Yeah, I think I'll conceal the location until I sell my data at Jaques after I'm back from Sag A*, though that can be a while. Really want my name on this one.

Lol, yeah, I've two black holes to be added to the Galactic Mapping Project that I'm not going to mention just yet, too

:x

Unfortunately, the video didn't come out as I wanted it so I scrapped it altogether.
However, I turned my exploration data today and happy to share the location of this system - KYLOARPH AA-A H3
