Neutron Superhighway

Hello all! New to the forums so please correct me if this post should go somewhere else.

I recently started the long journey to Sag A to see what all the hype is about and I'm experimenting with the neutron superhighway along the way. I've had good luck so far using the Spansh plotter but being that I'm on console going into the galaxy map to plot every system individually is a bit of a pain. I tried to plot using the jet cone boost option in my galaxy map but since I changed the route I've yet to jump into any systems with neutron stars. Is there anyone out there who could school me up on why that is? Also is using the plotter worth the trouble being that I have so much down time between jumps?

I'm on Xbox and I don't use any external tools. I just plot up to 20k and the plotter takes care of everything else.
I have K, G, B, F, O, A, M alongside non-sequence stars enabled, everything else is filtered out in the galaxy map. Don't select white dwarves, they're too dangerous and not worth the risk.
If you're high above the galactic plane there might not be any neutron stars available to incorporate into the route. There is a neutron-free corridor right along the north/south centre line of the galaxy, if you're trying to plot along the 0,0 line you won't get cone boosts.

I'm not using neutrons on this trip because I'm out for several months and I don't want to die - but I used it in my cooler-running Krait Phantom late last year for a month or two and it really is amazing how fast you can cover ground
