Never ending loading! system map issue again?

Probably, many know this bug from the September update (or before), but since the January patch 1..., if I want to enter the system map, it happen again, that I stuck at the loading screen for ever. Only resolve is the reload the game. It don't happen all the time, but 3/10 is to much. Is it only me? (Xbox One)

Currently 0 instances in several hundred having travelled from inside of the bubble out into the black. I am on pc so might be a platform thing.

I'm on PC, and it's happened to me just the once since the patch, two days ago - system map stuck on load the first time I try to open it after logging on, only option is to close the game via Task Manager. The "Oops we've crashed" box never appears so can't tell Frontier about it when it happens.

Sorry, I have to admit I laughed! Someone calling themselves ErrorBug complaining about a bug in the game - I just think it is funny lol

PC here - happened twice to me since the last patch.

Seems to be caused by the system's planets not loading in fully because both times it happened to me I was scanning with the FSS and noticed that some planets didn't load - when I zoomed on the blob to scan the planet the info all displayed fine, but the planet itself wasn't shown in the FSS view. Then when trying to open the system map it was a never-ending load screen.

Next time I noticed I wasn't seeing a planet in the FSS view, I jumped out of the system without trying to open the system map, opened it after doing a basic discovery scan in the next system and it worked fine. At that point I assumed it was a server issue and I was logging off anyway so didn't bother reporting it.

Yes, I have noticed this too. When using the FSS and no planet appears in the fully zoomed in FSS scan view, that's a clue that the bug is about to happen. If I happen to notice the no-planet-appearing bug, I will exit the game before trying to load the system map. But often, my fingers are on autopilot and I've already exited the scan and pressed the System Map button before my brain recognizes that the planet was missing.

I have on the odd occasion come across a situation where I just a get a black blobs instead on the first system I enter after starting the game, this happens both in the FSS and system map, however I have never logged out because of it, and the next system I jump into is fine, but that's very occasionally. Just a question out of curiosity, does everyone here turn off the "shader preperation on startup" option?
