New 2 BGS, In a Military System, at War,

Hi Elite Dangerous,

No drama here but somehow very active player faction. I was doing all the missions and have 2 missions left to scan an installation, break the law and complete it.
how long until new missions show up?
um, how can i raise population of this system?

System is at a boom state and was at 3.08 M and now 3.1 M ..

Mission boards refresh every 10 minutes.

Population doesn't change under BGS. 3.08m to 3.1m is just a rounding error.

can you help me and explain what hostile power status of a system is ?
I feel our main system was under expansion... and was at war ... with other factions..

Hostile power is a powerplay thing. If you're pledged to a different power to the one that you're currently flying around, it'll pop up like that.

It has basically zero effect on gameplay. Literally none. You don't get shot at, you're not considered wanted or fair game. Even powerplay NPCs will just scan you and be all "I'm keeping an eye on you" before flying off if you're not carrying merits.

Like what Screemonster said, Hostile Power status is almost ignorable; it just means if you're pledged to one power, you're able to be attacked by enemy power ships.

Likewise, superpower reputation (i.e Federation, Empire, Alliance and Independent) is pretty much ignorable too.

However Hostile reputation to a minor faction... that will cause any stations owned by that minor faction to deny docking, and their authority vessels will attack you on sight.
