I have both an Odyssey and Horizons. But lately I've only been using Horizons. In the horizons on the planet that I indicated, I collected meta-alloys. One piece in each signal. Well, the magic re login allows you to collect again and again. There you can also try to look for meta-alloys in thargoid's signals on the surface of the planet.
Pleiades, California, Witch Head and Coal Sack nebulas for barnacles.
Rocky or metal rich planets (Don't remember seeing any on icy bodies)
The Bases are near the Pleiades and Taurus Dark Region.
