Are you in the part where all three gold spots overlap?

Which 3x hotspot - and, more importantly, which material?
For LTDs, there has been several reported candidates but only one has really panned out: Col 285 Sector CC-K A38-2 1 B-ring.
If you are there and trying, there are a number of possible reasons why you might not find anything.
- Not dropping in the correct location. (Including not actually scanning the hotspots.)
- Not prospecting asteroids.
- Not using the Pulse Wave Analyzer to find subsurface deposits.
- Not using the correct mining technique.
- etc ...
You're certainly not in the right spot. I mined 400ltds in about 3 hours with my wing
COL 285 Sector XN-D A28-2 10 as discussed in Hawkes Gaming YouTube is a very narrow triple overlap - he makes this point emphatically. I spent 4 hrs and only got about 150 LTDs - thought it was just bad RNG but I'm sure I was in a double overlap.
COL 285 SECTOR CC-K A38-2 is better but I think still more narrow than Borann. I dropped in and was getting the same results, had about 100 LTDs.
So I jumped out and came back in and checked the Nav, and I am much closer to all three hotspots. Then, the NPC pirates showed up and asked for cargo. And I said "Let's see some badges." And they said "Badges! We don't need no stinkin' badges!" And 3-4 of them promptly blew my T9 and ~100 LTDs out of space despite me dumping everything I had.... So I respawned on an FC, bought some limpets at a huge markup - for which I was quite thankful - and re-dropped in being careful about location, waited for the pirates to scan my now empty hold, and proceeded to mine 500+ LTDs over the next several hours as I'm terribly inefficient.
TLDR; The new LTD3 sites are significantly more narrow than Borann - at least it seems to me.
That's interesting, as I got more than that in a single hotspot last night! Over an hour I picked 60t LTD and 30t tritium, from core mining (no laser). It was fairly tedious though, as there were very few rocks with LTD cores, and I only found one subsurface LTD (which was what I was particularly hoping for). I'll do some more mining at some point, but probably not for a few days.
On another note, I'm loving that I can just dump stuff in my FC rather than having to go and sell it to clear my cargo bays.

I wish the YouTubers had not jumped like crazy for views at the first sign of a spark. That video is not correct. It was clear to any experienced miner that the overlap he discussed is not a true LTD3 the triple overlap only contain the reddish edges of the hotspots where the yield tapers off.
Also, laser mining out - subsurface mining in.
Subsurface nets you between 400 and 600 tons per hour.
