New alien interdiction type (I think)

Something strange happened.

During a jump between systems I was interdicted by the Thargoids.The ship died for a few seconds but came right back.

This was not the old scripted interdiction.

When I looked around there were a thargoid just behind me. While I tried to turn around, a second one came of of hyperspace.

Then these two just sat there doing nothing. When ever I moved they just follwed me and kept the exact same distance.

I took a picture, I was in VR so it's not the best image, but you see them sitting there.

Nothing happened, and finally I just jumped out of there.

Same happened to me yesterday while doing a thargoid tech mission. Posted about it yesterday but, no one replied to let me know if it was unusual or not. Uploaded a vid but, since no one seemed interested I didn't bother posting a link.

I wonder what it was. Haven't read about it anywhere and haven't seen it at Youtube or similar.

I couldn't find out what to do in that situation, like if they wanted something from me.

Same to me too.

I rammed one of them and the swarm came out to kill me.
dont know that is buged or not.

I don't think it's a bug. I suspect they wanted something from me.
Maybe some precursor to some trading or similar.
I didn't have anything with me but I guess they want an occupied lifepod or maybe the alien artifacts.

Remember those stories of 20th century pilots who reported strange lights following their airplanes at a fixed distance, mimicking their every move? I remember.
