New alien research centre in Colonia?

Probably not a lot of people remember, but back in February, there was an exploration CG for building a new research centre with the aim of studying the new alien lifeforms. (Codex, NSPs.) See here. This was completed, we got an article that it'll be built, then it was promptly forgotten. However, today a GalNet article appeared saying that it has been built, on Colonia 7 g. The base was already uploaded to EDSM, so it really is there.

If there's anyone around there, could you check to see what exactly it does? Is there anything new, or is it just paying increased prices for samples?

So well, that's that then. A bit of fluff that perhaps might be a CG location in the future, but most likely to be forgotten.

It is a shame that explorers basically can make a 3d map and take temperature readings but as far as NSPs and any planet with the tag "with water/ammonia based life" gets a yawn and a simple footnote. So many ways ED could spice up living and working in the Deep, but good luck convincing them of it.
