New Alphaba member -> Hotas + Peddles not working

Hi

I've just (today) signed up for the Alpha, and I've bought the Thrustmaster Hotas (Joystick and Throttle) and the Saitek Pro Combat Pedals, and Track IR 5 Pro.

All for Elite! :)

I just downloaded and installed the latest Alpha, and chose 'Thrustmaster Warthog' from the Controls list.

The throttle seems to work, but the stick doesn't at all, and the rudders cause a violent unstoppable roll.

Track IR however works perfectly.

I know there is a HUGE joystick thread, but could someone please, help me get this up and running quickly? Am I doing something wrong or do I have to customize EVERY single button, axis etc individually?

Thanks Commanders...

I think that it was probably caused by broken preset profiles. So the solution is to set controls, and especially axes manually.

The worst kind of person replies to his own thread with "FIXED IT" and doesn't tell anyone else how they did it

You're mistaken, the worst kind of person uses the anonymity of the internet to be a cowardly and rude ***** just for poop's and giggles.

Go troll somewhere else if you cant be pleasant and use good manners.

Correct.

In windows the axes all worked fine using the windows calibration, however in ED they were wonky, which i hadn't anticipated. So, one i set them 'again' they were fine.

Didn't think it needed to be done that was all.

I think that this problem was occurred when multiple controller devices were made recognizable by the game (Alpha 3.0), whereas preset profiles were created for Alpha 1.0 when only one controller device was recognized.

Bingo! That makes so much sense! Thank you! :)
