New and trying to understanding transferring animals

I have seen people talking about transferring their breeding animals from one zoo to another. What is the reason behind this. Also, I was also reading about people buying animals from other people. I have just started playing but please tell me this isn't true.

Franchise mode is online, so all animals you buy there are from other people unless it's from Frontier Zoo (there's at most 4 or so frontier animals so the market is never completely empty). If you don't want to play online, then play challenge mode. It's exactly the same as franchise, but offline, so you're not getting animals from others.

Transferring animals between zoos is only possible in franchise mode, and people do it for a number of reasons. The most common reason is to transfer over a couple animals when starting a new franchise zoo, so you don't have to spend thousands of CC buying whole new animals. So if, for example, you have gold-medal tigers in one zoo, you can transfer some of them to another franchise zoo so you don't have to spend currency or start out with poor stat, no medal animals.

Thank you

Thank you, I think I will say away from Franchise mode then as I am not willing to give my money to other people just for a game.

Just curious, why do you feel buying animals from other people is bad?

Cause I paid for a game and shouldn't have to pay other people outside the game developers for items in the game. I feel it is the same as when a movie comes out and people run and about buy all the special copies and then sale them on ebay. I just feel it is wrong, this is my personal feelings and if others want to that is their choice just feel it is wrong.

I think you're mistaken, you're not spending real money. All animals are bought with in-game currency that you earn

So you do not like any game with a marketplace where players sell items for in game currency? To each his own, just never seen someone have such a blanket issue with in game trade systems. I understand hating inflation or other in game market issues (price gouging in planet zoo franchise market is one issue). But at least in planet zoo the online market isn't the only option to play.

Thank you

I agree with @Dinocaid, I think you believe you'll have to spend real money. Fortunately, no part of Planet Zoo is pay-to-win. It's just like the other modes, except you can sell animals for CC. Plus, the Frontier "zoo" often sells animals for cash.

Only in-game cash and in-game credits are used, no real money involved. :) What people do on franchise, though, is buying animals for a cheaper price than they resell them for. That method is what's keeping me away from franchise mode but everyone has different feelings and ideas about how to play or don't play a game.

Hey @BetaRaider, I would like to reiterate again, you do not need to use real money to buy animals from others in Planet Zoo. I think there has been a misunderstanding here. We wouldn't want you to miss out on Franchise Mode because of it. You earn the in-game currencies conservation credits and cash by playing Planet Zoo, and then you use that to make purchases through the Animal Market. I hope that clears that up. Please do let us know if you have any other questions.
