New Appreciation for Audio

I have a new found appreciation for the sound in this game. For years I have been using a $30 set of Logitech speakers on my PC and finally for my birthday today I invested in a set of Bose speakers. The cheapest ones they make mind you, still cost me $150.

All I can say is WOW!! I thought the sound was good before but now with the better speakers I am hearing tiny little pops, whizzes and clicks that I never really heard before. The cockpit in a ship really is quite noisy.

Has anyone else purchased a new piece of hardware that took the game to a whole new level?

Aye, was toying with the idea of replacing my old Creative Alpha thingies but couldn't justify the expense for what I wanted...until the Alphas died

Astro a50s, they're not without issue but the sound, the sound just blew me away. Full acknowledgement for the FD Sound Dept., they've done a spectacular job.

For me it was a new video card plus a flightstick. I got them and installed them on virtually the same day, and the game became a whole new experience. I am quite hooked.
