New Attraction: Remote Viewing/Feeding Tower

With update 6, I LOVE the new attractions that have been implemented in the game.

Alongside the new variants of the zip-line, the remote viewing dome and log attractions are some of my attractions to set up, allowing me to create enclosures not possible with the galleries or tours. I personally almost always exclusively use the remote dome in the aviary so that guests could be up close and personal with the pterosaurs and be able to see them perching directly in front of view or flying above you from ground level.

The log is more niche but just as enjoyable, not only did I use it to recreate the T-rex kingdom, but I love creating enclosures that are very remote from the guest area and have an enclosure that is heavily forested to house some of the dangerous or oddest creatures in the game like Therizinosaurus, 2001 raptor pack, or the newly deinonychus.

The remote attractions have been an excellent addition to the game, and it got me thinking if another option could be implemented that uses the remote vantage point these galleries provide. If the dome is grounded and the log slightly elevated, I think a tall remote gallery would be a great third option.

When I first saw the original Jurassic Park movie, the scene where Alan Grant and the kids were observing the brachiosaurs was one of my favorite childhood movie experiences, as we get to see herbivores that are tall enough to tower the trees themselves, and the scene where they attempted to feed the brachiosaurus was a magical one I cherished. It got me thinking if an attraction could be implemented that recaptures this scene, similar to the viewing tower in the game, but one that is built within the enclosure and with the benefit of attracting the park's sauropods.

Looking into it further, there was a storyboard idea of the Brachiosaurus Valley, an attraction that would have guests get up close to the brachiosaurs by observing the sauropods from the tour via an underwater tunnel, or get up close and see them eye-to-eye with the "viewing pod" that acts as both a viewing point and feeder for the brachiosaurus.

It is exciting to see that this has been thought of for the Jurassic World film and I think a viewing/feeding tower as a new remote attraction could fit this perfectly. So it got me thinking about what it could look like, and I felt inspired to make a concept of the remove viewing tower that acts as both a remote gallery for guests and a feeding option for the sauropods in the game.

This is something I had in mind for the remote viewing tower. It is not as tall as the non-remote viewing platform, but it should allow both the guests and sauropods to see each other eye to eye. Brachiosaurus is far from the only sauropod in the game, so having a unique attraction that caters to sauropod feeding could work in many exhibit setups. The tower could be divided into two floors, with each floor allowing guests to observe the sauropods of varying heights.

With how the game would allow different viewing points per attraction, this could be a fun way to see the faces of these sauropods, because while it is common to note the tiny heads these dinosaurs have when compared to their bodies, they are still really big heads, and this viewpoint could allow the guests and players to observe the head part of the sauropod in better detail.

Also, to ensure they get to see the faces of these sauropods, this tower could double as a feeder, tempting the sauropods to walk up to the tower and have a quick treat, satisfying their hunger while making them visible to your guests and see these giant herbivores in action. This would obviously require the park rangers to resupply these feeders, but it would be worth it to recapture that same magical moment we saw in the movie, with any of the tall sauropods we have in the game.

The feeder is optional, so if you do not want to have your rangers be preoccupied with resupplying the food, the tower's food dispenser could be disabled like any other feeder. While this means you won't be able to grab the attention of your hungry giants, you are still able to have a grand view of the enclosure itself, by being above the trees and really taking in the view!

A happy accident I encountered was that the tower is only ever taller than the tall aviary platform that could be placed as an option for your pterosaurs to perch on. This could then allow the tower to be peaceable in aviaries, plus with some railing around the tower, you could also provide a tall roosting spot for your pterosaurs.

This would then allow the remote viewing tower to be as peaceable as the remote dome and log options. Similar to how we could observe the sauropods from a tall viewing point, we could also observe the pterosaurs from such high altitudes as well. The tower is tall, but short enough to be comfortably placed in the aviary, so it would be another great option for your guests who want to have another viewpoint to enjoy your flying reptiles.

I hope such an attraction could be implemented in the game. I love placing feeders near galleries so that we could get up close to your dinosaurs, be it paleobotany, the carnivore feeder for your predators and scavengers, or the shark feeder with the lagoon gallery. Sauropods are the only dinosaurs I could think of where it is not that common to see them within eye level, so to be able to get up close and in the face of your tall herbivores would be a lot of fun to experience in JWE2.

Thanks for reading! 👋

Wonderful idea, and really well thought out. I hope the devs see this.
Thanks! I hope so too.

With how the dome and log are usable in any era, I hope this tower could be implemented with a design that fits all 3 eras thematically. Plus I really want to see a possible viewpoint that allows us to be up close to the sauropods, especially as they reach toward the guest to grab the next bite, that would be so immersive.

A unique, multipurpose attraction that can work just as well in both dinosaur enclosures and pterosaur aviaries, as well as provide both guests and players a new, breathtaking to observe these animals; it's a fantastic idea and one that would fit very well in any Jurassic Park, Jurassic World or D.F.W. facility!
