Isn't the iron bar fence in the classic theme? The wooden cattle fence can easily be build by hand in my opinion and I have very rarely seen barbed wire fence in a zoo. On a farm, yes, but not in a zoo.
For barbed wire, while it's not as common in a standard zoo, it is something relatively common for several wildlife parks, more often those used with safari style vehicle tours as it's not along visitor areas.
Several normal zoos also incorporate it in the upper sections of fences to deter animal climbers...occasionally also using electrified wires there...
Electrified fences are also used on occasion, while not the Jurassic Park idea of frying someone, it's often strong enough to give a severe shock to a human, but enough to encourage some larger animals to not press through them...such as bovine species being a common use just as they are in cattle ranching...more so with bison or hybrids or similar animals...often in places where guests cannot easily get to the fences and it's harder to use something more physically solid for them...I believe the New York zoo has or had some for parts of their elephant area that's extremely low, but enough that they get what is the equivalent to a static shock which gets them to not try to push through towards things on the other side when the barrier would, otherwise, just be broken through.
