Your Feature Request / Idea
One of the main things that Is missing from this game is real customization to make the parks feel more realistic and immersive. We have plenty of dinosaurs and plenty of fences, plenty of generic buildings and plenty of paths. I'm going to break down into three main categories of customization. Landscaping, Building, Accessories.
Landscaping: We can edit the terrain up and down, we can add water, we can add generic foliage, but that is it. I can't make real rivers, I can't make waterfalls, I can't really place individual trees, bushes, or shrubs/flowers. These things are necessary to create an immersive park with depth and decoration. I will be able to place trees or flowers around paths and such, I can customize enclosers to my exact desires with rivers or even waterfalls.
Right now I can make apparent rivers, but there is no flow of water, and it must be flat to make because otherwise I'll have to separate bodies of water on different levels that cannot connect due to the inability to create a waterfall. Possibly allow us to add in geysers, hot springs, or edit terrain to dirt, sand, normal grass, or rain-forest floor to add some extra personality to the park.
Buildings: It goes without saying the buildings in this game are very generic compared to Planet Coaster. They are very well done, but every park feels the same with the same exact buildings with no customization ability. I'd like to create my own buildings, or at the very least have more options where I can have 3 different versions of the gift shop of different sizes and designs. If we could just create our own buildings with certain "blocks" like in Planet Coaster this game could be everything it aspires to be. It doesn't have to be as in-depth as planet coasters building system, but at least give us customization options where I can have a taller hotel, or a different designed hotel, rather than plopping 3-4 of the same hotel around my park. It's not realistic, creative or immersive.
Furthermore, if I could customize the size of the viewing galleries width wise, or adjust the height of the viewing towers, that would be very cool. Along with adding the classic jeep ride and balloon from JPOG. I'd also enjoy being able to edit the entrances to my park. Instead of the bland, generic monorail, perhaps Instead I can place a main entrance lobby where helicopters land and then folks can get out from there and enter the park, or have a shipyard where cruise ships arrive, or add Safari jeep transport for some variety from the monorails.
Accessories: The game completely lacks in this category. There is no ability to add fountains, multiple types of statues, flags, signs with my own custom descriptions of enclosers (I really appreciate the ability to name dinosaurs and this would work in tandem perfectly with that), trash cans, benchs, chairs and tables for eating areas, etc. Not to mention there is a complete and utter lack of bridges being able to be built. I can't make realistic rivers where visitors can walk over on a bridge path.
Lastly I wish visitors were more unique and I could click on them to see their name, or what they prefer and such. I miss that from JPOG and Planet Coaster. Perhaps this could be very feasible and realistic if we were given a large island from scratch to create our perfect version of Jurassic Park whether in sandbox or with money like the challenge mode. The Isla Nublar only gives us a specific area with a pre-made entrance monorail. The game just seems too restrictive in the creative sense for park building, but does it well when it comes to the individual dinosaurs being able to add names, different genes, and skins. I'd gladly pay $20 for a DLC that adds everything I've described here.
