New Career options

Planet Coaster is currently the best theme park game that is currently out on the market.

Unfortunately the game is missing one crucial option.

Most theme park simulators have the option of starting a new career.

If starting a new career was an option for planet coaster players could replay the entire game without having to mess about with saved files.

you can restart new career scenarios. Click on “new” instead of “open park”. I don’t know if thats you were talking about or if you meant wiping out the 3 stars to start over again. Thats 1 thing that would really really help.

I meant wiping out the 3 stars and to start over again, but I also want to keep all the save data from the first time I completed the game.

That way I get a fresh start to replay the entire game while keeping all my other stuff saved.

Like most tycoon games there could be an option added to just open a new career under a different name or something

I recently had this happen to me involuntarily -- Mod!Joël helpfully provided a list of PlanCo's files with which does what. I doubt anybody'd outright recommend this, but it might be possible to make a back-up save of your uniqsave_player folder and then delete it, forcing the game to recreate it from scratch and restart you at the beginning. [uhh] This assumes that Steam isn't backing up your progress and won't restore it.

Most games these days have the option to do new careers, so why does Planet Coaster not have this option?

Correct; deleting the uniqsave_player folder (after creating a back-up) will reset your career (and avatar) in Planet Coaster. Saved parks are stored elsewhere.
