New client?

Just upgraded to the new client. Or did I?

I am in the main menu at the moment and word for word here is the message at the bottom of the screen:

"Can't connect to ED server: Your client is too old. Please upgrade to the latest version of Elite Dangerous. Your client is too new."

Word for word. Copied exactly. I've even got a screen print.

I use steam, so will the client auto update?
I think it usually does. But this time it's asking to manually update it, but picks the default install location, not my steam folded. Wierd!

Give it time. The linked thread says they are taking things down at 11 for 30 minutes. As that time has now passed check it again ;)

It's 11:35! Not acceptable! Lol just kidding.

I'm just sat here waiting for steam to do something. Drinking coffee. Steam rarely does anything in a timely manner. Lol

Just installed the new client and fired it up. It's just requested that I enter a new verification code - that doesn't normally happen.
Code was emailed very quickly so I'm in now but at peak times I suppose it might be slower.

Mine just started. Good thing I was watching it, cos it put it in a que. Of 1.
So it was just gonna wait until the nothing before it was done!
