General / Off-Topic New Commander creator options

This is a subject i still can't get my head around, to be honest. There is a university in the UK that will mark students down, if they use gender specific references in their work.

Yes I can fully understand the need to stamp out sexism, in all its forms; but this is kind of stamping out recognition of gender types. Which cannot be acceptable to the majority of people today and if we let this continue, could destroy who and what we are; as individuals and as a society. George Orwell's 1984, had similar ideas and concepts.

Again; sexism has to go in all its forms; we all have the right to be as we wish to be and what we are capable of becoming and gender should not be considered as part of that progression.

Maybe I am missing something, but what does this have to do with any of that? Normally you'd have specific male/female awards if there is a strong reason for it. For example, male sprinters are simply faster than female athletes, so they compete seperately. With acting that makes no sense, so having a 'best actor award' makes a lot of sense. It has nothing to do with 'stamping out gender types', it has to do with acknowledging that in plenty of fields men and women can just duke it out for one award without any seperation needed. We dont have 'female nobel prizes' either, ya know..

I do not believe OP does propose to stamp out something.
I understood he would like an extra gender neutral option.

Perhaps it would be cool if ED became one of the first games to have such an option.
It would be a very suitable game for that, because we can create our own narrative and we are, story wise, not bound to a predetermined gender role.

I think the OP is being sarcastic somehow :p

Whoops. That will teach me to read all of the whole thing in future. Yes, agreed; there are lots of areas in life, where we don't need to be gender specific. This question has been asked a few time, in respect of Golf; where it is technique and skill, over any other traits that win the day. Again, sorry, my bad.

No doubt the @OP is trying his best to be mocking, but a genderfluid / ambiguous option would be perfectly fine.

Just how many recognized genders (or was it sexes) did the manual refer to again, in one of the older Elite titles?

Nothing wrong with letting people express themselves in their avatar, and there are plenty of non-binary people in our world already.

You can no longer comment on my posts. You just don't get English Humor. It was a big debate on Breakfast. Facebook has 73 gender definitions.

You need to be more specific than that.
