New computer, New Quest2, no USB3 connection. Ideas?

My new computer does not have a USB3
Ive ordered the conversion cable but was wondering if there was a better way
I do not have a PCI slot to use, can I replace the cable pugged into the motherboard (USB 3.0) with one that has a USB3 and a USB end for the front of the case?

That sounds strange, you realise the standard USB connector on computers with onboard USB3 is usually fitted to take USB3 connectors also? Thus:

Front view of a Standard-A USB 3.0 connector, showing its front row of four pins for the USB 1.x/2.0 backward compatibility, and a second row of five pins for the new USB 3.0 connectivity. The plastic insert is in the USB 3.0 standard blue color known as Pantone 300C.

Im bad with 'connector ID's" Mine looks similar to that, but nothing like the small cable that came with the Quest2

OK, did not know this one was for charging only
I was trying to set up the AirLink but part of the setup was hooking the Q2 to the computer via cable
New stuff is always smooth and fun to work with, have a feeling it will be worth it though

The round connector is referred to as USB C. It actually uses USB 3.x and is compatible with USB 2.1 and lower
