So after fighting through many conflicts I have noticed how ummm... civil and peaceful it can be around stations, surely combatants would come around to bring some trouble, if people are fighting out on the field then why aren't they assaulting the castle?
So new CZ type, which can be much more interesting and dangerous, Station Conflict Zones and Blockades. Station Conflict Zones will only occur after day 2 of fighting, if someone is 5-10% in the led. you can pledge to whatever faction and fight in the station CZ, though you may have to deal with station weapons if you are on the side of the attacker. The attacker will also act as a blockade, even if you are neutral they will give you a warning to turn back at 10 KM and engage you at 5 KM. Station CZs can give you a good impression of how a conflict is going, like with standard CZs the higher the attacker/defenders inf the more in favour the instance will be for them.
Also new conflict mechanics. When ever I jump into a system in a state of war/civil war, I will often get interdicted for a naval security check, and I only ever have to worry about it when I'm wanted in that system. this is where Naval Interdictions become dangerous. No longer do you pledge to a particular faction in a cz, but you can pledge to the faction like you would a super power as soon as you jump into the system (and you can defect if you are a mercenary or chose the wrong side). If the controlling faction is in conflict and you have pledged to their adversaries then Naval Interdictions have the potential of becoming fatal, with the security forces attacking you after finishing their scan. The same goes for docking at a station involved in a conflict, if you are pledged to the controlling faction then yay for you, if not you have to dock in anonymous access mode, if you are scanned security forces will start shooting at you.
'Warning Commander! This station has become involved in a conflict, approach at your own risk!'
Also blockades can occur if;
a) A certain faction has 10% higher inf over the controlling faction, they may try to project their power over the station. Higher the inf the larger the blockade.
b) Outbreak, Civil Unrest or Lockdown, the controlling faction will create a blockade around their own effected port(s). If in Civil Unrest they will warn you to leave and shoot you down unless you have a Friendly Rep or higher, same with Lockdown. Similar with Outbreak, if you are carrying medical relief then they will let you through regardless.
