New Dinos ideas June 2022

It would be nice to see a dlc or a free update (that's not important) with these species:

  • Concavenator (cool)
  • Tarbosaurus (therizinosaurus enemy)
  • Atrociraptors (they were in the Dominion)
  • Microraptors (they are cute)
  • Pterodactylus (why not?)
  • Yutyrannus (it will be the king of snow maps)

These are my ideas, please Frontier take note and give us this dream as soon as possible 🙂

Good list but i would also choose

1-Lambeosaurus (Beautiful dinosaur)
2-Alamosaurus (Enormous and beautiful titanosaur)
3-Daspletosaurus (Small version of T.rex, but more faster)
4-Hadrosaurus (Novel canon)
5-Utahraptor (Giant feathered raptor, a impressive predator)
6-Dakotaraptor (A feathered raptor, beautiful addition to our parks)
7-Pycnonemosaurus (A giant abelisaurid, a diferent predator very similar to Carnotaurus but without horns)
8-Ornithomimus (A close relative of Struthiomimus with feathered body, a nice addition to the game)

Interesting! I'm very excited for the ornithomimus because it was in Prehistoric Park (Nigel Marven) and obviously for the rest of the list! 😁 I hope that Frontier will add more feathered dinos but wil not forget our "classic" dinosaurs. I think that 50% and 50% would be perfect

I ask to Frontier Team to consider the Pteranodon skin from "The Lost World" 1997 (it's too good! It's the first and original, the most realistic).
Please consider it !

Microraptors yes but are you sure that the Pterodactylus is so small? I remember it is like a pteranodon, isn't it?
Lol what? No.
It's smaller than a jackdaw.

Pterodactyl doesn’t actually exist does it? I thought it was just an incorrect way of saying “pteranodon”?
Pterodactyl is often used as a common name for pterosaurs. Even some experts use the term. Others aren't a fan of use that term because people get confused with Pterodactylus. Which is a real pterosaur that lived in the same area as Compsognathus and Archaeopteryx

simply........nope ..lol !
Pterodactylus is a small Pterosaur from which where found very well conserved specimen. A lot of them in Solnhofen... a smal town here in Bavaria, 40km from where i live today ;) ! And while some juvenils had only a wingspann of 18cm the biggest specimen have a wingspann just over 100cm ... so at least some subspecies of Pterodactylus where much bigger than a Jackdaw !
A lot of people make the same mistake by thinking that Compsognathus wher only 70-80cm long ,....only because some of the best known specimen are in that range, but today we now from many other specimen that in fact as an full grown animal it was 120- 150cm long !
The biggest Known Microraptor specimen are from a 77cm long animal, which means its more or less the size of our JP/JW compys which are havilly based sizewize on the most complete (Juvenile) fossils from Solnhofen.
The Biggest Specimen of Archeopterix is 51cm in lengh with 55-60cm estimated wingspann and a wight between 500g and 800g, and because of the much shorter but wider featherd tail not so much smaller than the ingame compys.
So i would say espacially for Indoor biomes in Aviarys, all this species could work very well in JW evolution 2 !
Onestly each of this species would be more interessting to me than the extreme oversized Quetzalcoatlus that came with the Dominion DLC !
That quetzal is at least 16-18m in wingspann and allmost the size than in JW Dominion, but compared to the realistic 10-12m from specimen found in north america its just overkill to me !

So all in all Pterodactylus, Microraptor and Archeopterix are quite small Animals, but not smaller than our ingame Compys, which i like very much ;) !

No Problem, but LordTrilobite also wrote some very important facts !
A Pteranodon is an like a Pterodactylus and a Qutezalcoatlus a Pterodactyl , .....but
a Pterodactylus is no Pteranodon ;) !
Its just like a Moros Intrepidus and an Albertosaurs as well as Tyranosaurus are all Tyrannosauids ,
but a Moros Intrepidus is NOT an Tyrannosaurs Rex ;) !
