New dinosaur pack?

If there will be another 3+ dino pack as the next DLC, then either March (earliest) to May (latest, which I personally don't think so, but still).

We will very likely know in advance if something is being made, as it's continuously appeared on SteamDB well before hand (the shortest time between being put on the database and being officially revealed was about a month, though that was also the first DLCs).

Assuming approximate consistency from the mid April release of the Carnivore pack last year, I wouldn't get too concerned until around mid March (which is kind of starting to creep up on me).

Although I read the RtJP entry has gotten updates, which is out of the ordinary.
On the SteamDB basically all the DLCs have received updates within the last month or so. RtJP is probably still going to get focus because of the fact the challenge mode for the two islands still starts some people off with a significant hammond foundation fee.

Seeing how we are in the middle of March, it may be possible that a dinosaur pack, if it is planned, could be releasing soon. Could also be between this month and next month if the carnivore dinosaur pack is to go by.

But also, I would advise to keep expectations to a minimum. The coronavirus is having an impact to many businesses, including the videogame industry. So as we could expect an update or small DLC soon, there may be a period where work may have to be put on hold until the situation gets better.

Considering the quarantine stuff, I'd love to see something just to have new options in a game.

Considering the Raptor Squad DLC, something like 2 bucks for a skin of each version of Rexy would be fun and probably easy to get done considering they have access to the movie skins.

They could do the T.Rex from Jurassic World, but I know that Frontier's direction for the game's gene modifying system and skins is to make them both look and feel as sensible as possible. The default null T.Rex in-game is basically what it looks like in the films, albeit without the scars made by the last raptor in Jurassic Park and the Indominus rex. To me, it just doesn't make any sense as to why a T.Rex you can make through the use of genes would have huge noticeable scars all of a sudden.

But, if there are any other future character dinosaurs coming to the film series of the franchise that would be applicable for this game, I know they will be implemented via special "look-alike" DLCs, just so the special character nature of those designs remain special and more rewarding as they would be, just like the four raptor character designs from Jurassic World. They couldn't just throw the Raptor Squad designs in from the beginning because the special unique character nature of them challenged them to do so, and it would be in due time when they would come up with a way to counteract those challenges by doing it the way they just did with them to keep those designs as overly unique as they are to the generic raptors.

At the moment, the rex in game you describe is based on the original CG version, there's still the second one based on the Stan Winston model. There's some visible differences there between them that can be pointed to. The different scarred versions could be used to up the number of them to the three versions not yet in the game.

On an optimistic perspective, I think we could expect new dinosaurs coming to the game thanks to the Camp Cretaceous netflix series. And if it is anything like the past promotional dinosaur updates, they may very well be free!

Basing it on the toy line that is planned to be launched that is heavily inspired by camp cretaceous, we may get these dinosaurs coming to JWE.

• Mussaurus
• Protoceratops

And based on this video:

• Cryolophosaurus
• Alioramus
• Tarbosaurus

Likewise, Camp Cretaceous won't be out until possibly august of this year, so we may get some updates and DLC for this game by the series would come out.

Anything tying in to a new show like Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Battle at Big Rock is almost guaranteed to be part of a free update because they're meant to be nothing more than publicity stunts. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is one of those possibilities, something that I have been speculating and updating on in the Dinosaurs forums. Now, recent events have made a very good decrease on the possibilities of it having any new species, but that's not to say there 100% won't be any, so it's still possible in general.

Two other possible far future publicity stunts for free new species I think are possible would be for Jurassic World: Dominion and the planned live-action TV show, if the latter see fruition that is, which I currently believe so. Film director Colin Trevorrow did confirm long ago Dominion will have new species, but it's unknown how many new species there will be, and whether or not it's new species the game won't have at the time.

I'm kind of afraid that Dominion's stuff and anything for the other live action thing isn't going to happen for a long while due to virus issues...

Sure the pandemic safety measures will have some sort of effect on the time of production on anything related to Jurassic World: Dominion and so forth, but that doesn't change anything other than possible delays for such stuff.

Yeah, the current pandemic is for sure something to take not of. And Dominion has been confirmed to be on hold due to the outbreak as Universal studios did not want to risk and further spread of the disease.

I am still hopeful that something like Camp Cretaceous would still continue as it is an animated movie, and would not require people to interact with each other physiccally, and spreading the disease more. I am just hoping that the disease overall gets taken care of and everyone remains safe at this time.

Plus, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is an animated series rather than live-action, and instead of releasing in theaters, places that also have taken in safety measures due to how many people crowd up together, it will first air online through Netflix. So, it has at least a higher chance without getting delayed, or if so, too much.

Personally I think a small cheap DLC, dinosaur pack(3 new species) would be great for the spring (if possible). Maybe some types of species which we haven't seen before in the game, so far - As example - Therizinosaurus, Oviraptor, & Protoceratops.
