A cool exploration mission - Go to this sector and do a detailed surface sans of all bodies in these star systems. The sector stars turn red in the galaxy map (using a new filter tab) to show you what they want you to scan and turn green after you visit them. When you get into the system, the system map will just show you basic scanner information. You honk with the intermediate or advance scanner and the planets show up in a filtered view as red and turn green when you do a detailed surface scan. These missions would take some time and have to be well paying.
This could also be done in the bubble and this mission would be military. You have to fly to a system because a faction is rumored to be building a military outpost and you are to use your detailed surface scanner to check out certain moons or drop down to an asteroid belt to find the construction. You then approach the base to do a local scan within 5k. You might have to use silent running to get close and could be interdicted at any time.
You might get interdicted in space because you were close to a moon and get warned off, but when you drop down near the base it would likely mean you will be attacked without provocation.
A great chain mission to follow this could be to scan a dataport or even take out a generator or maybe both. The scanned mission could then send you to get further information by stealing it from the data port which sometimes requires a return mission to blow the generator or some other act to sabotage the construction.
