Ships New Exploration ship

Anaconda is a crazy exploration ship.
A while back i made one called the runaway, basically we a completely self sustaining ship, that let me do everything and anything i wanted. Its a really fun ship to just go out into the wild blue yonder and never return.

Definitely a Diamondback Explorer Mk II, with a class-5 module slot replacing one of the class-4 slots of the current ship. If not even a class-6 slot. Otherwise achievable jump range should be the same or even slightly better.

That's, of course, to fit a bigger fuel scoop. That would make it an absolutely ideal exploration ship.

An exploration ship would be alright.

I want and would easily drop billions to buy and own an Alliance designed large class ship: Maybe modelled after the Challenger or share some characteristics.

I'd go a step further and say an exloration ship is needed. I love my Phantom, but it's fuel usage on SCO is so high, it can't even reach a secondary star 150kls away in SCO.

I love my Beluga but would love it to have a bit more jump range and a bigger fuel scoop, something along those lines.

Be sensible, they wont make a Cobra into the Starship Enterprise!

There already are many excellent exploration ships. I'm not sure this would be necessary. I already don't see the point of the Type 8...

It would be about time that a new ship would challenge the Anaconda in jump range.

(The DBX gets the closest, but it has its drawbacks, being a small ship with class-4 module slots at the largest.)

Well, the DBX is the only Small ship with a size 5 FSD shoehorned into it, and there's no Medium ship with a size 6 FSD, so there's a gap there. Internals could be something like:

6 5 4 4 3 2 2 1 1

Fuelscoop, fighter hangar, dual SRV, etc.

If it's a joint venture between Saud Kruger and Gutamaya, it would also answer the demand for a Medium ship from those manufacturers.

Somehow I doubt that venture could ever happen given the somewhat contrdictory lore we have at the moment.

Officially, the Imperial Courier is used to provide transport for Imperial officials who do not warrant the privilege of an Imperial Cutter or a Majestic-Class Interdictor.

I've never quite understood how the Empire's finest vessels don't qualify for Luxury?
Who knows maybe one day when the military ranking missions get updated, I'll get to dock at an Imperial shipyard and get a Gutamaya luxury cabin to go with my mission to transport that Admiral in my Cutter??
