Provide a feature where players can "sign" a carrier guest book.
I do a great deal of exploring. There has been many many occasions where I have had to make an emergency stop on a DSSA carrier to refuel/repair/re-arm. Having this feature to say "Thanks dude! Your carrier saved my ass!" would be awesome! It's not just limited to this. Particularly with DSSA carriers, these guys could see feedback from the player base on their carriers activities. However, not just DSSA content.
Say a a carrier has expensive pricing for something. I would love to drop a message "Dude-yer prices suck".
Where carriers are perm-a-parked (cuz FDev refuse to move them BTW!) you can leave a message "If yer gonna stay here forever, please get the Universal Cartographics module!".
The player interaction would be epic!
- Utilise the same functionality as player messaging (mesage length, UI, etc) (existing feature)
- Make it accessible via the NAV PANEL. A button between the BOOKMARK and PILOT'S HANBOOK buttons (existing feature)
- Make viewing the "guest book" from the MAIN COMMS PANEL
- Configure it as an OPTIOAL DISPLAY (existing feature)
- Add COVAS notification to ships "Your carrier has received a message"
