CQC New fighter class ship in 2.2. Will it make it into CQC??

It looks like there is going to be a new type of fighter introduced in 2.2. You can see it in the video below starting at 56s. It also looks like some of the stations from CQC are also going to make it into the main game (1:36).

Another interesting point from the video is that the ship launched fighters can be controlled by AI pilots. Will THAT make it into CQC, and finally solve the empty lobby problem by giving us drone pilots to fill vacant slots??

I am getting pretty hyped for this now. Hoping the new fighter makes it into CQC, but I am also, surprisingly, very excited about being able to fly a condor in the main game.

Fighter vs Fighter PvP in the main game around stations straight out of CQC? hmmmm. Interesting. [yesnod]

2.2 is looking great so far, and I am hoping that CQC also benefits from all of this cool new stuff.

Mike, you mention they have the different flight models and equipment. Can we fully customize them with parts and engineer upgrades? How are Fighters going to be combat relevant for the ships that can bring them (Say, why should I bring a Fighter bay in a Size 7 slot over say, another Shield Cell bank. How durable are they? Are they only useful against other small ships or can they pack a punch against big ships too? How damaging are they and can we fit them how we want or are their loadouts static?) How can they be useful while not making CMDR piloted small ships useless?

Don't need full explanations obviously but any light you can shed would be appreciated.

They may look the same as CQC ships but these fighters have different flight models and equipment to those in CQC.

That's pretty much what I expected. Though I will be curious to see how they are buffed (or not) over the Condor and Imp Fighters we currently see in battlefields. Those things just go "splat" as soon as you touch them ;)

a single new fighter and the new "epic" mechanics of lauch a fighter... some modular new station interior... and? it is all?

Come on, it doesn't officially start until tomorrow and lasts until Sunday. There is more to come!

What i can read between the lines is "no"
"Different" means unbalance in cqc and so possible not available there

I hope we get the Imperial Fighter as well. I can only carry sexy white fighters in my Clipper.

I hope that all carry-able ships will get an additional slot only for fighters. My multi-anaconda has already a full loadout and if i habe to carry an extra module there isn't any cargospace left. I'm still annoyed that i had to reduce it for a SCB after 2.1 Otherwise no fighters for me
