Perhaps I'm being a "thick clanky" (pejorative for mechanically biased engineers) but it strikes me that there is no sense what so ever in frontier making a new forum, which was no mean undertaking and the forum itself is good, if they are going to go into full blown radio silence on it? I mean the only FDev comments regarding Elite have been by the community folks whipping up some hype about players screenshots, and managing expectations on the new issue tracker. The last major thing FDev dropped in the forum was the "good news" on 1st of March about the 2020 update:-/ So if they aren't going to communicate with us, why have the forums?

To the OP: Forums are still for us to chat as a community. Maybe you're right and they should close the forums and make us use facebook / steam / reddit to discuss the game and put out news on twitter / facebook. Not sure I agree though.
Maybe the devs are still having a hard time learning how to use the new forums. They have no idea what they made after all.
