[Suggestion] New functions for planetary bases
Planetary bases are really beautiful and well elaborated, I like their design and every time I pass through a planetary station, I bring a souvenir photo. But honestly, they can simply be ignored and there is no advantage that will make you trade with them than you do with a Coriolis. I believe they must gain new functions that make it much more useful and differentiate them dramatically from a space station. I'll name this function from:
Temporary office rent
How would it work? The basic interaction with the station would be required, as currently in play, and by being friendly with the station agent you would release this new function allowing you to open a temporary office, This rental can range from 1h to 24hs (this is just a suggestion). And apart from it we may have access to several additional functions, and I could do that while docked.
When talking about planets, the great imagination is the wealth of resources to be explored, and this functionality can be accessed from this new menu of the office.
At this point we will be able to lease land miners, which will be divided by the size and speed of mining that would be scattered some distance from the station, which could be predefined.
In a simple calculation of mining time and storage capacity, we will know how much time we will have to collect the materials.
With a simple change in the design would add an access platform so the SRV can use to collect the material canisters, using the 3 tab. And load your ship into the trade that would become more profitable and agile.
You may need to purchase skimmers for site protection, or even npc eagle patrols.
Other features could still be added to the office, such as financial investments. Choosing one of the available sectors for development: research, commerce, agriculture, industry, transportation and etc. These could vary from the most profitable depending on the model of the chosen station. In this function the influence of the faction on the system would be the key meter for success, causing the player to invest his time in developing the influence in the system favoring his profits.
Here could arise a whole range of ideas that would give depth and life to the game as well as favoring the desire to acquire the Horozons expansion. It would still give the player a home feeling, where he would have to come back periodically, we would have a desire to engage more in the BGS of the factions. And the advantage that everything already exists inside the game right now
Of course I still can not dispense with the desire for new equipment for this job, which would be amazing if this could be experienced with space legs, maybe a SRV of cargo transport.
