New guy with Oculus SDK2 headtracking issues

So I've finally left my stubbornness and are now reaching out to you guys for Assistance (after two weeks of active "google" search usage hehe)
on trying to get my Oculus Head-tracking to work in Elite.

I've managed to adjust the Graphic so the game looks really beautiful while using the DK2. So that's not the issue.

I've tried to shut down Windows Host Script, killed OVRService, all firewalls and even tried to uninstall the drivers for my Logitech Keyboard witch i read some where that could cause some issues.
Also tried to to turning on / off HMD,
I got advised to connect the Tracking Cam to the DK2 directly, moved the USB ports from USB 3 to USB 2 and back

Also tried to use Runtime 5, uninstalled and tried 6, and then back again, and run Elite in Administration mode, shut off my Main Screen and only used DK2,

When im starting elite with OVRService closed the blue dot on the cam does not turn on, but when i don't close OVRService it do. If that info makes a diffrence

I have tried to uninstall the Nividia driver and use the Older version as well.

Basically everything tried most of the things suggested in this forum: https://forums.oculus.com/viewtopic.php?t=11659

I also used to get an Error after closing Extended mode, however i cant find the note i wrote down the error code on, but it was related to
"using a main monitor and the oculus on the same graphic card / port" i haven't had that error for a few days now.

I can also mention that Head-tracking works with the Demo from Oculus in direct mode, and in extended Ark. Survival Evolved, and a few Horror games, also Virtual Desktop

Any suggestions, advices and Assistance is GRERATLY appriciated. If you need any more info ask and i will reply asap.
I love Elite and missing the Head-Tracking when you have DK2 sort of removes 80% of the function/fun.

Lots of awesome and useful info, all your troubleshooting notes help too. However... you failed to mention what your actual problem is. Is the head tracking jittery, does the tracking move in the opposite direction you move your head, or is there just NO headtracking at all? Im assuming the latter by your last sentence "missing the Head-Tracking"

In anywhich case. My tracking works, but im not running the latest runtime. Im still on 5.0.1 and my nvidia driver is 353.30. In the graphics settings in E: D are you sure you are using Oculus in the 3d settings and not side-by-side? You may also want to check your nvidia settings and make sure you have 3d vision off. Apparently that can mess with the oculus in some games. Thats just from what i've read though, worth double checking at least.

hope you get this figured out. Elite is one of my favorite VR experiences. I can only play elite in VR, i don't know how my roomates and brother play without it... weirdos...

Hahaha im so insanely happy now, i got it working.

Oh and yes the head tracking didn't work at all - "missing" :)

I didnt think about double checking the 3d setings as i was sure it was right.
Apparently Elite had bugged out so i only got the option to use Side by Side or the other Antalizing or whatever its named, and the option for Ocolus was gone,
i did a "Validate Game Files" and deleted old Graphic settings, rebooted upp Elite, and there it was shining like a Diamond "Ocolus Rift Headphones"

Now it works, cheeers for the Assistance hehe.

Spending two weeks trying to fix the problem and double checking and changing settings i might have fixed the problem, but forgotten to double check that simple basic setting.

Now i just have to redo the graphic settings i had managed to get with sweet fx.

now to my next challange, figger out how to change the main title on my forum post too "solved" hehehe.
