So i just decided to get in on the action with you Elite dangerous guys. i plan on bring a lot more of my pals with me


i got a few questions. Maybe i could get answers to hopefully it will help me throw more money down the toilet like a responsible man.



1) Will there be different sub variants of each ship?



2) i had an odd question about "drones" is it possible we will be seeing drones in this game? Maybe even combat drones? maybe the ability to deploy some from the bigger ships?


3) Will there be more weapons? i know its just a beta, but will we see alien tech or hybrid tech weapons? I'm a sucker for fire power(gotta be because i'm from Texas)




4) Will be able to add custom paint and skins on are ships?


And the last? will be able to fly empire or federation ships? im really liking the shape of the Federation fighters.


i plan on buying my expansion pass first then the 75$ standard beta. gotta space stuff out so i can afford a good set of flight sticks

Yup, although a lot of variation will be down to preference with the inclusion or removal of specific systems once outfitting is *fully* implemented.

2) i had an odd question about "drones" is it possible we will be seeing drones in this game? Maybe even combat drones? maybe the ability to deploy some from the bigger ships?

Probably not combat drones but they have mentioned camera drones among other deployable things as a possibility.

3) Will there be more weapons? i know its just a beta, but will we see alien tech or hybrid tech weapons? I'm a sucker for fire power(gotta be because i'm from Texas)

Probably. They're tight-lipped on alien stuff. There will be places where you can get various systems "tuned up", including weapons presumably.

4) Will be able to add custom paint and skins on are ships?

Yup, although that one is a possibly going to be micro-transaction based.

And the last? will be able to fly empire or federation ships? im really liking the shape of the Federation fighters.

Yup, although I'm not sure the fighters will be playable, there will be faction-specific ships you'll be able to fly if you have sufficient rep.

Though you may be able to hire NPC wingmen/guards in small ships.

If it does go M-T for customisation, I have no doubt that there will be free skin and decal options too.

Don't rule it out. I can see them being flyable in a mission, say you dock up at a military ship and take on an escort mission, you might get given a fighter for the duration.

FD have said they like idea of flying fighters - mostly idea around that you "work" on military cruiser, and do missions with your fighter (it has no hyperjump capabilities). Most likely coming as expansion or update.

im guessing the camera drones are for the mining huh? Looks like all the answered i wanted are yes's. maybe i might have to spend more money
