We are just 10 Days away from the New Horizons probe's closest approach to Pluto!
I'm so excited!
It's been out there for about 9 years (i might be wrong) and now we getting results!

Then, after we've got the best images we've ever got of Pluto,
The New Horizons probe will head out into the Kuiper belt, and explore the origins of the Solar System!

They say New horizons is about 5 Mm from pluto. Just was there - no any spacecrafts

Any party will be there 15 Jul?

Don't forget it's the year 3300. Perhaps if the probe gets stuck in orbit and regarded as a lost cause in RL, Frontier may implement it. I believe Voyager 1 (or is it 2) is in the game.

Many press reports are really trying to build the tension on this one.

But I confess, finding out some more information about these objects will be interesting.

Apparently, one early discovery is that Charon and Pluto are very different. Charon appearign very grey while Pluto is quite red. That of course, immediatly suggests their origins are not identical.

Spotted this on BBC earlier. Looks like Pluto is bigger than first thought. Wonder if FD will make the adjustments?
