New IGN clips of the game and first look at night shrouded Isla Pena

This has been a great week for getting news about the game. We got Spinosaurus for a species profile. We got a look at Isla Tacano with more gameplay footage. Now this.

It's on IGN some where but this guy uploaded a video with all the clips.

Now is that night time Island Pena or is it Tacano? If so could this mean we have day and night cycles? Also for all the people who don't like the night in games like this you can see it's not very dark.

Here is the clip from IGN. It's part of a developer diary and they will be doing 3 of these videos.

Thanks for sharing the link, when IGN posts it on You Tube I will add it here.
I have no idea which island it was, maybe we will not have a day night cycle but we might be able to set the time like in planet coaster.
I think that would be a nice feature to have.

Very nice. My excitement grows with each passing day. I'm still not sold on the idea on having different day times on each island, but whatever...I'm still hopeful they will allow you to change this in sandbox. Otherwise I'm sure there's gonna be a mod for it.

I wouldn't hold out for modding just yet. Universal doesn't want the game modded so it isn't in the game. It MIGHT come in later.

You can't stop people from modding. You can only make it more difficult for them.

I hope all the ones rage-quitting the game at the idea of not having different times of day are ok, since it seems they wasted their ire, who would have thunk it

Edit: Really liking the closeups on the dinos in this one - they still look fab!

I am in the minority but I am super glad there is no day/night cycle. I am not a fan of playing these games during night.

For me it has to be either only day or a proper day/night cycle. I don't want to play constantly at night/dusk.

I don't particularly care for it. It seems like the other islands have different foliage on them. Isla Tacano seems to have regular looking trees instead of jungle. I kind of liked the look of the jungle on Matanceros a bit more. I know they are using the time of day/lighting to make the islands seem unique but I wish they could have done it differently. But I won't be skipping the game because of it. No way would I miss out on this game.

Also did anyone notice that in the Tacano island preview from IGN we actually saw some single placed trees and not patches of dense jungle. They might have added an option to place single trees.

Yeah I noticed it also and I hope we can place a single tree, because this might also have been done by placing a patch and use the delete brush to keep one tree standing.

Did u guys also see sand layer in the diary? Or might it have been the light? See the lake to the right at 0:33-0:35 and at the mountain side at 1:24 (top right).
The rivers wonder if they are made by a player or pre made

I just now noticed it. I wonder if it's an area outside the boundary of the play area?
