New & Improved Fallout 4

Downloaded the free 55GB Hi-texture pack for Fallout 4 Friday off Steam and began a twenty hour Ultra settings playfest with a new character over the weekend. Since I last played, all sorts of DLC has been installed and I've been taking advantage of it. Am currently in Far Harbor having a blast. Nuka-world is next.

I suspect I'll go for an evil Brotherhood of Steel victory this time. I'll have to slaughter the Railroad and Institute (spoiler warning) but they have it coming as they don't offer power armor. I've got three sets already. Already ticked off two companions with my dirty tricks to get ahead. There's more where they came from.

The new texture pack is subtle, but you can see the differences from the previous versions. With the added DLC content, it feels like a new game.

Once the new Fallout 4 is done, Skyrim VR should be out. Mu-hahahahahahaha...

I was peeking kindly at Fallout 4 once again since it's only £10 on the Steam summer sale...

Only thing putting me off is the fact I paid for it already + all DLC on the Xbone :(

I was not impressed by Bethesda's Fallout again. Just like with F3 this one feels like a clunky shooter got some very basic RPG elements bolted in. Dialogue system is a complete joke.
They should give this one to Obsidian again. Those guys know how to make a good RPG, and most importantly - a good Fallout RPG.

Fallout 4 is a great mod platform and good time sinker if you like exploring and shooting but I don't really remember the story or the characters hah - Obsidian did a great thing with Fallout NV, I can play base game over and over again.
