I am Thinking about buying a new joystick. Does anybody use a VKB Gladiator NXT EVO. The price isn't too bad, but the programming looks a little challenging, defiantly not plug and play.

It is not difficult - run the config tool - select the default button, click the find&autoconfig button the click calibrate (do the wiggling) then click end calibrate and off you go.
You can of course carry out more detailed programming, you don't need to - my RH stick and LH OmniThrottle have nothing other than the above.
The stick is for sure the best bang per buck out there.

Thanks for the input! I'm using a pro 3d now. It wanders a lot and is jerky sometimes but other than that its ok.

I bought the VKB RH stick. WOW!! What an improvement. It's almost too good. No more wandering or sudden turbulence. Still getting use too all the hats. I bought a gaming mouse for on foot play also, not sure that that was worth the price. The side thumb buttons are hard to use. I would give VKB a 5-star rating or two thumbs up.
