Hardware & Technical New Joystick

I was waiting to grab myself a new T16000M FCS, but seems it will not release anytime soon at my region, so I in the prospect of geting a CH Fighterstick, Throttle and Rudder, so what I want to know is if it will be a a good choice?

Is it any better than what is T16000M FCS today and it is any better than the old Thrustmaster HotasX?

Anyone that have and use it with Elite and other sims have any opinion on it? (Good and or bad, I wanna know)

CH product sim gear( joysticks, throttle and pedals) are alongside vkb the most durable and quality stuff you can buy. Not even 450$ warthog hotas is better in quality.
Dont let cheap plastic look fools you, they produce controllers for medical and industy purpose where durability and precision is needed, game-sim gear is their side product but with same quality parts.
I play other flight sims too so i follow these things.
If you want precision and longliving gear go for vkb or CH product.
While saitek has great button customization for modern jets and space sims it's quality is questionable, lottery; it may last few years or few months!
Theustmaster also has some flaws in quality even it is amazingly precise as ch product and vkb.

I've a fighterstick and one of the thrustmaster throttle FCS. The fighterstick feels nice and has lots of buttons. It does (and the software) look a bit old fashioned but it all works (on win 10). I was going to get the CH throttle to go with it but it was too expensive in the UK .

Thx for the replies.

I`m concerned about the precision of it, coming from HotasX looking for the next step in control now. SO it can handle combat as good and precise as mouse can?

+1 for CH Products. I have the Fighterstick+Pro Throttle and it is a fantastic HOTAS

Not really much to add except just yesterday I switched from a HOTAS-X to T.1600M, TWCS throttle and rudder pedals. Night and day difference!

T16000M is great and super precise joystick, i still use it!
After some time under heavy use fire button can worn out(do not respond always on First/gentle click) but it can be replaced and spring may get a bit loose so it wont back it in perfect neutral when released, but nothing to worry about still precise and perfect playable.
Notice; i did put some serious load on it, so be gentle with it and it will last with perfect condition!

I had a t16000m for one week, then suddenly the whole thrust unit was dead. After 6 weeks of waiting, I finally got a mail, its not repairable and I got my money back. Would never buy it again, it felt cheap from the beginning, and lasted only one week. The Joystick is the better part of it, but the buttons on the base, are completely of out of reach, and the overall button quality is a joke....worst design decision all time was to make the stick bottom glow so bright, you can't use it in dark environments....

I've been using mine for a while and really enjoy the precision of the stick. The pedals and throttle are great too. I also came from the HOTAS-X.

Sorry you has such a bad experience... I've had mine since early November and the pedals a couple of months longer and I've had 0 issues with them.

I can't overstate the reliability and build quality of CH products. I have an old (gameport version) flightstick pro plugged into my "retro machine" which has been working without fault since I bought it. I've used their more current products on other folks machines and I can't think of a better word to describe them other than "solid".

My own current stick is a X25, its functionality for the price point is hard to beat but while mine has been reliable for years, it's a pre-madcatz model, manufactured before the reliability and build quality issues that crept in after the buy-out and which have not yet been entirely solved. Much as I like the stick and would probably get another one it's a purchase that has to be made with eyes open to this history.

Bold claim :)

I know CH is good, but given my Warthog is 600+ hours and feels like new, like brand new still, it would be hard to argue which is better. Saitek on the other hand ...

If you can get the CH combatstick over the Fighterstick. I have both and the combat stick is better for Elite because there is a button by your thumb rather than a hat and it's perfect to use as secondary fire button.

Another vote of support for CH. I've used it for a lot of flight sims and it has never let me down. The software alone would be enough reason for me.

The only things you really have to be aware of with the Fighterstick are relatively light centring springs, a design somewhat ill-suited to people with small hands, and it not being silent when moved quickly through the centre of an axis. None of those are an issue for me, so I love my CH gear. But if any of those sound like a problem for you it would be a good idea to see one in person before committing.

Somewhat against the grain here... I gave all my well worn CH stuff away and switched to a Saitek X52 pro. I haven't regretted it.

I found the CH fighterstick to be too large for my tiny hands.

Additionally, the CH fighterstick's gimbal is one of those "love it or hate it" designs -- there is a very pronounced crossover when transiting across the middle of each axis.

Another vote for CH stuff here!

I have the fighterstick, throttle and pedals. They must be about 12 years old now?
Never had any problems with them, though I have noted recently that the little joystick on the throttle (I use it for looking around) has got a bit vague. I think I need to clean that up a bit.

I did buy a second stick for when I was travelling a lot for work. Turns out a CH stick lasts years on a desk, about 5 minutes with Air France...

I have an X55 but it gets mixed reviews here. Mine has been fine. So far. More buttons than I could shake a stick at. Yaw is a bit stiff, but i got used to it. I'd give mine a 7/10 for build. An 9/10 for usefulness. A 5/10 for the size. (its big). Its okay. Ive had it over 2 yrs and nothing has broken. Yet. But they do have a rep for wire breaking. No problems for me so far. Oh and a 3/10 for their software.

How do the CH Fighter / Combat stick handle dimensions compare with Logitech Extreme Pro 3D one's (contemplating if should take the plunge...)?
And yes, I know the CH doesn't have twist axis, that won't be a problem. :)

Just looking at pictures of the Logitech unit, it will be huge. The CH stick is among the sticks designed for bears (a common defect among (semi-)replica sticks mimicking units that are supposed to be used with gloves), and I find using the second trigger pretty uncomfortable to the point where that button was just completely useless before I got MonsterTech mounts to lower the stick below the table surface. The situation is similar with the throttle which is really wide and you'll get some good finger stretching exercise.

Frankly, if the stick was 10–20% smaller it'd be 100% better.

don't get me wrong warthog is amazing joystick, but have plastic internals and for that Money it should be better quality internals not plastic (gimball is plastic), eventually you'll need to grease it!
i was aiming for warthog but decided for VKB Gunfighter (pure metal quality)
