New laptop help

Hi all!
I bought Eurasia and lots of other DLCs and started playing the game again after a while. But I am sad to say that my laptop (who previously was OK with playing PZ on low graphics) has started giving up on me.
So I am thinking of buying a new laptop. But I am wondering, even if I bought a really nice one, would PZ on the highest settings run smoothly? Or will the game always lag due to the game engine?

Anyway, my current laptop is a Lenovo ideapad 520, Intel Core i5 7200U CPU processor, 8GB RAM. It's about 6 years old now.
I am thinking of a laptop that has Intel Core i9 or Ryzen 9, with 16GB or 32GB RAM.

Honestly, it doesn't matter how high the specification the laptop has, the games limitations for processing tens of thousands of objects at once will start to slow down on even the best gaming desktops, often very large zoos will play at 30fps or under on good hardware. But getting a proper gaming laptop will allow you to play at high graphics and be able to build most zoo ideas you can think of.

The most important aspect is the best processor like the mentioned Intel i9 or ryzen 9. Compare the exact make of processor on hardware comparison websites to find out which is the better option. 16gb ram is all you really need, 32gb is nice but not essential for planet zoo and make sure you get a good graphics card as well, an 8gb or above card is recommended.

Thank you! I am not at home at all in graphics cards so I will need to read up on that.
I assumed 32GB RAM would make for a smoother game experience, but that is not exactly the case then?

On average the game uses 12gb of ram from what I have experienced with medium - large zoos however the game is known to have a memory leak which means the longer the game is open, gradually more ram is used. When the game exceeds that 16gb, the game will just crash. So there isn't really a downside to having 32gb of ram as it prevents these crashes happening, it just entirely depends on your budget.

Thank you for explaining :)

I would advise you to consider a laptop powerful enough to play the future PZ2 as well.
Not necessarily Core i9 or Ryzen 9, an Intel core i7 (13650HX or 13700HX) or an 8 core Ryzen 7 should be good enough if paired with 32gb ram and at least a decent enough mobile gaming card.
And by decent enough i do mean at least an RTX3070ti or an RTX4070 (laptop versions obvious since this is about laptops)

Which would require a quite solid budget, but at least it would provide some future-proofing
