New large combat ship

I'd like to see a new large combat ship that is more on the offensive rather than defensive side.

We currently have the massive T10 hulltank, the Cutter shield tank, the balanced but still shield heavy Corvette and the more hull tanky but less shielded Anaconda in between.

The new ship would be the least tanky, only one size 7 optional internal at most to fit a shield, the rest of the optionals size 6 and smaller. Bit faster than Corvette and Conda, bit more maneuverable, bit more compact appearance. For guns I'd like to see 2 medium, 3 large and 2 huge. Size 8 distributor mandatory, power plant either size 8 or 7. FSD size 6, thrusters size 7. No fighter bay.

Call it the Constrictor maybe ? A hard hitting glass cannon.

still just another "corvette", as it would have 8 utility slots, like the rest, and now you have the big shields once again.... even if you lower this to 6 utility slots, you would just by sheer numbers still get big shields.

Give it less utility slots and a crappy base modifier, that can be easily adjusted, there's no rule written that every large ship has to have 6 or 8 utility slots.

Just saying that it would be weird if ship of such size will not have 8 utility slots. If you will want have less strong shield on it, you need to have small base ship shield value for it.

Class 6 internal (plus a few smaller ones)
4 utilities.

Class 8 power, and distributor.
Class 7 thrusters
Class 6 FSD, and other bits.



Costs 230~mil standard.

Very lethal, but very expensive to lose. Lol

First off the Boa Constrictor is already due to be added to the game.

Second If frontier introduces new ships in the large spectrum it will probably be the Boa and the Panther which will be the first class 4/huge ships the game gets.

Boa and Constrictor are actually different ships. In the previous games the Boa was a cousin of the Anaconda, while the Constrictor was a classified experimental combat vessel in the very first Elite, which you got the task to destroy. Also where does the info about the Boa being added come from ? I know some vague rumors at best, but nothing definite.
